Quick question about MFR

I have just got my Bio Reactor and BioFuel Generator from MFR, and i was wondering how the power output works on the generator. How do i get the power out? Putting a machine right next to the generator worked, but putting conductive pipes at the back didnt...
how exactly do i get the power out and into pipes?

Wooden conductive pipes work by themselves, but you may want to just use redstone conduits from Thermal Expansion instead. Wooden conductive pipes will explode if there is a build-up of power. This happens when power enters the pipe, but has nowhere to go (either the line is broken, or machines downstream don't have any work to do).

yeah i know, but i am literally just setting up my first powered furnace and pulverizer, so i havent gotten to the point where i have conduits and an energy cell
