Ok not entirely sure where this go, but I have had to edit FTB a couple times now to play on a friends server, adding mods such as Treecapitator for example, but as well i want a single player FTB where i can mod myself. i have tried duplicating FTB launcher in two folders but they always end up focusing on one folder, is there a way to create your own game, like your own single player minecraft with all the mods you want and access it through the FTB launcher . not really a modpack to go public, but jsut to keep everything in the launcher and make it all easier?

i would say just disable the mods that are different from what are used on the server for when your in SSP or use MultiMC, but thats just my opinion on how to solve it

That would work to a point, but if you generate your world forgetting to enable or disable an important mod, you lost the world. one of the biggest mistakes i want to avoid. Also I'm going after the route that will make things quicker with less chance of fail, otherwise before each time playing i would need to go into the "edit mods" and enable/disable every mod that i need to in order to play a game which in the long run will become a hassle

In the launcher, you need to change the folder location under options. I don't remember if you need to close and restart each time, but that's how I got it to work. I was at one time running a stock and a modified FTB at the same time.

Thats one of my issues, i keep trying that, for example
i would set stock to folder:FTB
mod to Folder:siSP

now i would open folder:FTB and it would be set to that folder, but i would open the one in folder:SSP and that one is set to Folder:FTB aswell, i would change that one, go back into folder:FTB and that would be set to Folder:SSP, the reason i believe is its coming from the Config text folder in the %APPDATA% so all the ftb's are linked together :(

thats where multimc makes it a little bit easier, as you are able to run many instances with different mods/configs in each one and can access each with just a click of the mouse, again just my opinion

Yes, I had the same issue with it sharing a config. I just had "FTB" and "FTB1" so it was a quick change.
