Question on Project Red Volcanoes

I started my server and explored a lot, about a 3000x3000 block map. I just now noticed volcanoes were disabled in the configs. If i enable them now do they follow the same generation rules as other things?
Like will they just randomly generate in new chunks 3000+ out? Or will they generate in our areas we have explored.

Check if there is a retro-gen config to enable. If there isn't, then they will only generate in new chunks. If there is, and it is on, it will generate in pre-generated chunks.
