Me and my friend used to host an old tekkit server and we are 5 on it and it was running flawlessly with backup each 30 min with no block lag etc.

Wondering if i could host FTB infinity on it since all the online server are lagging. If you know one playable please tell me :)

So what i have is a private VPS at my job for the IT. i'm the only one using it since we are 2 IT :)
Running on Vmware

1GB Uplink + Redundent 1GB
8cpu - cpu: xeon 2620v2 -
16GB RAM
Running on Dell equalogic SAS 10K
Windows server 2008R2 or 2012R2

How many player do you think this rig can handle without blocklag of random lag.

Not many. The problem is the CPU. Minecraft is still pretty much a single threaded game. The Xeon 2620 is only 2.1 GHz. The rig I use is hosted out of OVH.com and is 3.4 GHz and I won't go over 10 players on it. BTW: I strongly recomend running linux instead of windows to further reduce OS overhead. Click the link in my signature if you want to more details on my rig.

Oh, and I strongly don't suggest you run a gaming server on equipment at your job. It is a sure way to get fired unless you have permission from upper management 1st. No game is worth your job.

Don't worry about my job lol, it's our private server to play with. Before if was used for a dedicated 7daystodie server after a tekkit lite. Now The VM is closed because she is unused. I'm not a stealer or hosting random things. We are three guyz managing 2 Datacenter and the third one is the president of the company so don't worry about that.

Since he doesnt gave us salary upgrade he let us have a private VM for us in our own VLAN straight on the net without affecting other client. We know the risk and we take care of it, it's my job.

I was planning to use MCmyadmin since my old friend told me it was to tool when hosting a server. I'm gonna try and see the result.
