Question about storage drives for AE/refined storage

So i was thinking about an incident with a friend of mine involving these drives
Long story short he crashed his game and corrupted his client because he had too many drives filled with force flasks of donkeys

And it got me thinking how safe are these drives to carry around?
Cause i know kinda how mincraft stores data and that if it gets to complicated the game cant read it anymore

But how safe is it to say move a few drives at a time to a new location? I cant find any documentation on this.

I've never had any issues moving them around. And I do need to do this for AE2 typically to move something I've collected to much of to a partitioned disk.

I do not think there is anything inherently bad/risky in carrying around a bunch of filled drives. Just as long as you do not overdo it. Like if you nest drives into bags/drives/whatever and carry a ridiculous number of them.
I have also heard reports of people getting their player save corrupted due to too many/large drives in their inventory. My guess is that they carried so many drives that the player save somehow got too large.
As long as you do not do anything stupid or extreme like that, then you are perfectly safe. I have moved my ME system many times in the years since AE was introduced, and never had any incidents. Actually thinking back I am extremely impressed on how stable the mod have been, for all the complexity it adds.
