So I've noticed that with IC2 Experimental, the cables can handle higher flows of EU (for example, a copper cable can do 128/t, where as before it was only 32/t). However, I haven't been able to find any info about what the loss over distance is. Insulated copper cables used to lose 1 every 5 cables. Is it still the same, or has that been changed as well?

The Tin cables that used to carry 5 Eu max now are the LV cables, copper are now MV, no idea where gold cables are now(since they used to be MV), but basically it's all the same aside from that AFAIK.

By which I mean that aside from copper and tin cables being changed a bit in tiers, it's all the same to me.
...Except for making glass-fiber cables.

No, that's not particularly helpful, but thanks. If you go to the section about cables in general, it gives the old info. It has the old EU/t rating, and says what the loss over distance is. If you look at copper cable specifically, it tells you what the new and old EU/t rating is, but not the loss over distance. Nor does it say if the loss over distance is the same. And the EU/t rating is easy to get, must mousing over a cable in game will tell you that.

So the 8192 EU/t glass fibre is rated at is a lie then? That was one of the most annoying things about the updated IC2 (the other being the increased diamond cost for making them)

8192 Eu/t is the rated value; the increased diamond cost is still a massive buff- as you have 16x the capacity for 4x the cost.
(4x the amount of Eu carried per diamond used.)
--What Slowking's referring to [I think] is a bug/exploit which lets any cable carry any voltage. WIP mod and all.

Not really a bug, they disabled it on purpose because it is being worked on
