I currently have a set up where 5 Advanced Solar Panels feed a MFE which in turn feeds my power grid. That power grid is hooked up to some electrical engines which in turn power my buildcraft Quarry.

Periodically the quarry will stop working and the blue buildcraft MJ will build up in the first gold conductive pipe after the engine and eventually blow up.

It seems to happen with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes the quarry will stop mid operation, sometimes it won't even start. The only way to fix it is to tear down the quarry and set it all back up again. It will run for a time and the same problem will happen.

I've replaced all of the pipes and wiring twice.

Below are two screenshots. The first is what my electrical engines look like when the bug happens (some of them were disconnected when I was troubleshooting).

This is the rest of my setup once it leaves my house. Everything between should still be loaded by the game. I have gotten the quarry to work periodically (thus the big holes).

the setup looks good, but why not put the 4 engines on the quarryblock itself see if it happens aswell?

I'm trying that right now.

But it kind of defeats the purpose of centralized buildcraft power that I'm trying to achieve.

I'm trying to figure out if I did something wrong, if there is a bug that I can work around, or if this is an unavoidable problem.

I did some research and this probable isnt a case of things unloading. I haven't always logged off when this happened./

logging out is not the only thing that causes chunks to unload. If you move to far away / other dimension it also unloads chunks / worlds

Try cheating in a chunk loader and placing it to see if the issue still occurs. Also try using Stone Conductive pipes to connect your Electrical Engines instead of gold. What I mean by this is break all pipes after the wooden pipe directly connected to the engines, and replace them with stone conductive pipes.

Agarax: I'm having the same problem, but with peat engines.
Nessiroj: It sounds like a pain to log off every few mins to fix this, but I'll give it a try.
