Pure Nodes that are Unstable?

So I've planted two silverwood trees and created two small pure nodes. I was testing out a crystal cluster and planted it in the area, eventually i noticed my flux increasing so I removed the crystal cluster. Now my pure nodes are exhibiting black/purple lightning. Does this mean my pure nodes are now unstable nodes? If so, how exactly do I fix this?

Will they fix themselves?

Did you plant them in a chunk with a non-pure node? If it was bigger, they most likely merged and the purity was lost.

No, but there is an unstable one in the next chunk over, but it's not close enough to start merging (as in they haven't moved towards each other).

Edit: The unstable node is actually 3 chunks away.

I looked it up on the FTB unofficial wiki. Pure Nodes can gain flux, but it doesn't stay put. It'll eventually cleanse itself of it, unlike a standard node.

Okay =o that's what I was unsure of. I know they cleanse themselves of quote-unquote some flux, but when I saw the pure nodes emitting the purple spark lightning, I was worried that if it "changed" from pure to unstable type of node (although it retains it's starburst core animation). Anyways thanks for the info =D

The purple lightning has nothing to do with the node type. It's just an indication that there is flux in the node.

The node type can be determined by looking at the node itself (the white stuff in the center). Normal nodes have no form in the center, pure nodes look kind of like a starburst, and unstable nodes look kinda like a whirlpool.
