Problems with Forestry

Hey guys.

I'm using the FTB Ultimate pack 1.4.7 on a server and I'm getting quite annoyed at forestry, hopefully someone can help.
In the past I've tried to get the peat bog to work (yes i know it's outdated) but the problem was that i was never able to feed it bog earth automatically. I tried everything, ordinary transport pipes, pneumatic tubes, redpower machines, hoppers etc etc. So i finally gave it up.
Now I'm working on a project of making biofuel, with apples going in to squeezers, apple juice into fermenters etc. But now i have the same problem again, the squeezers wont take apples from any kind of system I've tried. As with the peat bog I've tried pumping it in from every side, hoppers and all the good stuff, nothing works...

So have i missed something about forestry? I see the tutorials people have posted and it's nothing special about how they do stuff, seems intuitive enough. But for my stuff it never works. So any input would be helpful.

Edit: I might add that I've never had any problem pumping stuff out from these machines.

I have no issues feeding stuff into squeezers using AE export busses. Have you tried those?

No i haven't started with that mod at all yet. Might have to take a look at it then.

Never had any issues filling Forestry machines with Buildcraft pipes either. Or with pneumatic tubes. Or through hoppers. Sounds like you might have a bug?

Try making a test world and recreate some of your setups to see if you can pin it down.

Yeah I'll do that. I feared it might be a bug as well, if so, anything that can be done with it?

Never had issues with apples into squeezers, and I usually use BC pipes to start off with and AE Export Buses later on. Both have always worked fine. Sounds like a bug.

Maybe you can try FTB Ultimate single-player in Cheat Mode, and use NEI to cheat in a test setup to verify whether it's a mod issue in general, or a server issue. I'm not an expert on Forestry configs, but there may be something in the server configs that's interfering. I didn't find anything in my 1.5.2 Unleashed Forestry configs that would be related to this, but 1.4.7 uses a different Forestry version with perhaps a different config.

Buildcraft pipes are automatic. RP tubes are specific to the sides. For most of the machines, input is on the sides (pipes), and powered output on sides (pipes).

Sticking with buildcraft pipes is probably the best for automating the old forestry machines.
