Problems with essentials config.yml

Hi I am fairly new to running a server so noob question. Server is direwolf 1.7.10 server using cauldron and have got essentials installed version 2.13.1. The prob is I went into the plugins/essentials/config.yml to edit the kits but all that is in the file is:-
plugin-channel: world_info
inform-player: false
encoding: UTF-8

Can anyone help with why this is please

Can you post the log? If that's everything in that file, essentials most likely is not loading properly. Also what version of Cauldron are you running?

The version of cauldron is cauldron-1.1492.150.jar

Hello Grazazel,

I've had this problem aswel recently. The way I fixed it was pretty easy.
I downloaded a standard config from the website. I will paste one down below.
Then I replaces the content of the old config with the content of the new config. Started server up again and voila! That sealed the deal!
Test it by replacing the "OP Color" Value to another color.
