Problem Problems to Install Launcher on Linux

Hey guys i have following Problem,

i wanted to play some Minecraft Modpacks wit the FTB Launcher on my Linux Mint 20.1 OS, so i downloaded FTB Linux on the Homepage (.sh) When started it begins to Download the FTB Unix latest release, but when fully downloaded it just says that some Error and that the file contains some invalid symbols.
Also which Java JDK Versions do i need for the Launcher and to Launch some Modpacks?
