Problem with the Redpower Filter.

I am trying to make a redpower filtering system, but the Filter machine is not being cooperative.
After the first pulse, it just locks itself in place.

If I turn it around, it works like a charm with the pulses from the repeater, but, then it is facing the wrong way.

What am I doing wrong?

(Terribly sorry if I am in the wrong section of the forum, not quite sure whitch one is the right one)

Most likely, whatever item is currently in the filter's internal inventory doesn't have a valid destination, so it's stuck in the filter. Try placing a chest on the pipe immediately adjacent to the filter. Also make sure there isn't a redstone signal being continuously applied to the filter, as this will 'close' it.
