Why is the recipe for an RF Consumer showing as one of its items a Creative Energy Cell? Strange thing is I can make the cell, but not the RF Consumer. What is the proper recipe and can you fix it please? Had to cheat one in to get it.
 
FYI, if you are converting RF to mj, TE's conduits do it automatically when powering MJ Dependant machines.
 
What is the recipe please? It's not an ID Conflict as I got no crash for it and just saying it's an ID Conflict doesn't help me. And if there's something wrong, I need to see what parts actually go into the recipe first before I can do something.

Had to download a fresh copy of the pack and found that it's a Leadstone Energy Cell that's used.

I'm not ingame to check, but I believe it would be the RF Transformer as the middle part that is needed, just a guess though.

And what he meant by ID Conflict is that the ID for the Creative Energy Cell and whatever the real item you need is got switched somehow (have you recently edited any IDs in the configs for something?)

Somehow the recipe thinks that the ID of whatever item it needs is the ID that is currently assigned to the Energy Cell. Which won't cause a crash since the item techincally does exist...it's just the wrong item.
 
Well, I just now changed the ID for the Energy Cells to a free one. So let's hope that solved it. If not, I don't know what to do.

EDIT: Nope, didn't work.

It most likey won't, you'll need to change the ID of the item that is needed back to what the Energy Cell was using.

I'm curious what pack you are using and if you changed configs or added mods? If this is just a default FTB pack you should not be having this issue.
 
It's monster and I added some mods I liked from Unleashed that were updated. I don't see how the recipe can lose the meta data from the energy cell. The recipe calls for 2005:1 and yet it's only giving 2005.

And when I try making the Leadstone Energy Cell, I get the Creative Energy Cell.

Going to have to go through every single mod I have to see what is the cause.

I'd start with replacing all of your configs with the default monster configs, and then adding the other mods in one at a time and see if you can isolate the problem that way.

I would think all of the mods from unleashed would be included in the universal configs though which is the weird part.
 
I did an ID Dump and nothing else is using 2005 except the cells.

correct...there is no ID conflict...the recipe is just using the wrong ID (or missing the data value for it?).

I could check more when I get home from work today (gonna be about 7 hours though...long day), to see if mine works and what IDs it's using (I used monster as a base as well).

BlockID conflicts are not the type to go quietly into the night. They crash the game, and fast, usually.

So, gonna check what is up with this myself. Can't promise it'll be using Monster, but I'll have a answer soon.
 
I was looking at what was affected and it seems to not be using the meta data: for example, it shows 2005 for the product of the recipe when in fact it should be 2005:1.

EDIT: Found the problem, one of the settings in the CJB Mods. I disabled it and everything works as it should.
