Problem connecting to server

I just restored my computer, and downloaded FTB again. The Mindcrack server I always play on is running on 8.2.0 I believe, but whenever I launch Mindcrack 8.2.0 which is 1.4.7 and attempt to join the server that has 1.5.1 in the description, it will say 'Client out of date'. I tried the new version 8.3.0 and it doesn't work either, saying the same thing.
8.2.0 is 1.4.7
8.3.0 is 1.5.2
When I try to connect using either one or reccomended, it will say 'client out of date'.
Not sure whats wrong but other people can connect to the server on 1.4.7
Please help!

Mindcrack is not updated to 1.5 yet. Even version 8.3.0 is still 1.4.7. I'm not sure where you got the info that version 8.3.0 is for 1.5.2. At the moment if you see any servers running 1.5.1 or 1.5.2 they will not be an FTB server. If you want to join those servers you will need to install the mods your self using MultiMC or manually install them. Check with the server admins for the modpack and version they are using if any. You will also want to get the configs from the server from them.
