Primordial Pearl go boom..... (Thaumcraft)

All,

I killed the first boss in Thaumcraft today and got a primordial pearl. I read in the big book to bring it in contact with a aura node so I did and BOOM goes the surrounding area and the pearl itself. Is there any way of getting another?

As far as I remember you get one pearl for each boss you defeat. You should find another boss when you open another portal.

I should point out not all uses of the pearl consume the pearl. It's usually noted when they are not in the thaumanomicon. For instance the advanced alchemical construct doesn't consume the pearl.

Yes, most uses of the pearl don't consume it. The main uses that do are with a node and making the Primal Crusher (which is an infusion recipe with the pearl in the middle). My suggestion is that, when you get one, make the stuff you plan on using that doesn't consume it first (e.g. advanced alchemical construct).
