Ok it seems when someone went to the nether then used /home it crashed the server, now when this person logs on it crashes the server every time. Same crash log. Im afraid togo to the nether and becoming stuck myself.

Update, now it seems to be doing it at random with NO one entering the nether or anyone using /home or those stuck logging on....at a loss D:

Code:
Time: 1/29/13 4:32 PM
Description: Exception ticking world

java.lang.NullPointerException
        at buildcraft.core.SpringPopulate.doPopulate(SpringPopulate.java:58)
        at buildcraft.core.SpringPopulate.populate(SpringPopulate.java:36)

There is the error, has indeed nothing to do with home etc. only i haven't see thing one before (and still getting back in knowing the parts of all mods)
Does the world load without problems in a singleplayer?

Don't know its on a hosted server and its rough to download a world.

I was able to move the people out of the nether and for about 3 hours it has stayed up, then crashed with the same error again but no one went to the nether.

Well, it seems like something with buildcraft, though I am unsure what block does a springpopulate. I would suggest checking out peoples buildcraft setups and see if anything obvious is sticking out. If you are using chunk loaders of any sort, have people turn them off/take them down for the time being to try and isolate where the issue is happening.

What version of buildcraft are you using?

I just saw this on their site
3.4.1
- Added: Spring water source blocks at bedrock level.

From the modpack topic:

Updated Buildcraft A-3.4.1
Updated Buildcraft A-3.4.2

so yups 3.4.2
