Pickaxe of the Core, Fortune Enchantment and Diamonds

Servus,

the pickaxe of the core does only yield oreclusters of somehow basic ores...like iron, tin, gold, etc.
You do not get any oreclusters from diamonds or coal (which, is quite logical^^).
Enchanting the Pickaxe of the Core with Fortune increases the chance to get a native ore cluster.

The Question here is: if i enchant the pickaxe of the core with fortune and mine diamond, does the fortune enchantment work on the diamond or not? or do i have to shift leftclick to deactivate the pickaxes abilities?

No clusters for coal / diamond. only specified ores.

Shift LClick will not give clusters.

Ahm, i may have adressed this wrong: i dont want to get clusters from diamonds. i just want fortune to work on diamonds so that i have an increased chance to get more diamonds like fortune normaly is used for.

So: fortune and pickaxe of the core give increased chance to get clusters for specific ores
but how is fortune and pickaxes of the core working on none specific ores?

I got 4 emeralds from 1 ore once with my Fort III PotC once

Yes it works on diamonds too.
