So in the "New World Pack," there is an ore called Petroleum. Any one know what it's for. I've found too much of it within a couple minutes of a world but I can't find what it's for.

I did. And I made sure that I was using the correct button that would typically display recopies using it. I looked it up online and I couldn't find anything.

closest match i can find is from traincraft:
there should be two ores. crude oil and oil sands.

toss these into a macerator. this generates Bituminous Sludge
surround a bucket with 5 of these.
toss into an extractor.
this gives a bucket of buildcraft oil.

or toss the ore straight into a distillation tower (also traincraft) for diesel.

That's assuming he installed petrogen (which he probably did not)
