Ok, so I have a set up. Ores coming from my quarry go through a sorting machine and from there to pulverizers. From the pulverisers I have relays which feed into filters so that I can have them filter out dusts from ores that I don't want smelting. My problem is is that the dusts collect in relays and wont go through the filter and I can't figure out why... Here are some images

Edit: I've resolved the issue by including a chest for the dusts to collect in and then simply moving them out manually. I don't intend to keep using RP2 for much longer.

Are the relays or filters backwards or not receiving redstone pulses as needed? Those are what usually screws me up with RP2 contraptions.

Nope, all the correct way around. all receiving a redstone pulse every second. as a temporary solution I added in a chest at the end of the left hand side so dusts that don't want to go through the relays end up in the chest. I'm thinking that once I have a lot of resources and can start my Logistics network I might just drop the RP2 sorting machine... There seems to be so many issues that just wouldn't occur if you had the pipes...

Why not have the pulverizers sitting on top or under furnaces this way the ore is processed into ingots, filter out ores you do not wish to smelt before they get to the pulverizers, pipe out the back (yellow) for the extra dusts into a chest with bc pipes & back into sorting system or keep for later use making invar, bronze or electrum ingots, I aint used 147 in months but I remember there was a couple of issues with relays being laggy & doing strange things at times like deleting items.
