Okay! I tried peeking around, but I couldn't find anything on this. So I'ma make something about it.

I've been trying the past week to find a mod where you can change the hue of any block, kind of in the way you can change leather armor. Hue wise, I've seen people say that leather armor has more than 16.5 million options.

OpenBlocks has this beautiful paint mod (mine is a little broken in FTB Revelation, because it's turning all of the blocks I paint into flat colors, instead of keeping the texture on cobble and such) that allows you to make pain in any of the millions of hues, and paint specific blocks. They can keep the hue and the texture, and I can see many exciting possibilities with this.

However! I also love Chisel and Bits, and since the paintbrush turns any painted blocks into canvas blocks, I can no longer chop them up and build with them. This is something I would reeeeaaallly super love to be able to do, though.

I know that in OpenBlocks, you can set it up to paint something and keep the texture. I also know that in another mod made for Chisel and Bits, called Flat Color Blocks, that you can change the texture of these chiselable blocks, which includes cobblestone. You just can't do more than one texture at once--if one block is cobble, all the other colors of FCBs have to be cobble, too.

So we have the capacity to change the hue of several different types of blocks while keeping the texture, and we have the capacity to generate new block IDs for large amounts of blocks that have the same texture but are different colors, between both of these mods.

Do you think there would be a way where we could use the paintmixer to choose any of the specific colors we want, apply it to any block texture, but generate a new block ID for the item while also keeping its type to something chiselable, so you can have chisel and bit blocks in any color or texture you desire?

I'm newer to modding, so I'm not 100% certain how to do this. But if it is possible and someone can point me in the correct direction, I know enough about JSON that I can, and would be more than happy to, update block after block in vanilla and other mods to be compatable with this format.
