Hello there

Os Windows 7 6.1 x64
Java 1.7.0_45 x64
Launcher 1.3.2

I fail to get FTB Unleashed 1.1.7 on MC 1.5.2 to launch in offline mode.
I can't get passed the offline mode prompt. (launcher.feed-the-beast.com: java.net.UnknownHostException: launcher.feed-the-beast.com) naturally
I tested this by cutting my connection and trying to launch FTB.
The reason for all this is I won't have a connection over the holidays. Also I will be moving in January.
In online mode there is no problem whatsoever of course.

I realize there is a problem with 1.64 Packs and this would be solved by an upcoming version of the FTB launcher as stated here: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/offline-mode-broken.36521/#post-500561
This http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/offline-mode.33662/#post-462767 might be related but unfortunately there is no solution posted.

I've tried setting up MultiMC but it crashes out while loading the mods. Probably there needs to happen further configuration in MultiMC to get it to work with FTB UL. I did try out setting up and changing the vars though.

So I assume there is a general problem with the current launcher version to get past the offline prompt and that this isn't limited to 1.6.4 packs.

However: is there a way to acquire an older version of the launcher where offline mode worked so I can entertain myself and my nephew over the holidays or is there any workaround available?

I do realize that everyone is probably busy with preparations or the quirks with then new packs but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

So I didn't dig deep enough.
Thank you for the quick reply.
As you stated that I could use the vanilla launcher I took it up and got MultiMc working.
In my first attempt I made the mistake of selecting the wrong folder to copy over from the FTB installation.
I'm rather new to Minecraft and modding it.
So thank you very much for nudging me in the right direction.
The little ones coming to visit will be grateful as well.

As for the log: I didn't post it because there is actually no information until you kill the offline prompt.
Also in the thread you linked prog seems to have nailed down the problem already.
If not I'll happily provide logs. I'll keep an Eye on that thread.

So thanks again and have a pleasant holiday.
regards

While it may be fixed to the extent he understood it, that doesn't mean there couldn't still be an issue with this feature.
