Offline Issue

Hi, so recently I tried to play in offline mode when my house lost power. FTB popped up 3 windows, the first saying "IOExeception, minecraft servers may be down. Check @ help.mojang.com", the second saying "Login failed:" and the third says "Something went wrong... Would you like to play offline?" I clicked yes, and nothing happened. Literally, nothing. The only difference I could see was a few lines came up in the forge when I clicked yes, but other than that, nothing. So why wont it launch? And I know I need to have connected my account at least once, Ive already done that.
