Official Launcher Standalone Java

So it appears that the new Windows official launcher is bundling it's own version of Java now. I switched my MultiMC over to using this over the weekend for the testing. No issues whatsoever. I did notice a bit of an improvement in framerate as well. Not as much as the article author did, but not bad either.

Anybody else tried this out? Thoughts one way or the other?

Haven't tried it, but I like the idea of the launcher regulating what version of java the players use, as it allows modders to use all the things in the newest version without worry. Reminded of one tweet by Rwtema that went something like "*crazy eyes* urge to use java 8 only code increases, the memory management!"

dont forget his boost also came from the fact that half of the amount of chunks where rendered in the 2nd picture over the first (1094 in the 2nd and 2041 in the first) that most likely gave him the 30 fps boost he was on about
