Noob Server questions

Im thinking of setting up a small server for family use. I have a spare laptop not doing anything and would like to use it rather than pay for a server.
1> The laptop is a Toshiba Satelite with 4 GB ram and AMD Athlon X2 64 CPU. Would this be ok for no more than 5 at most?

2> Apart from installing the FTB server is there anything else I need to do?

3> if I added extra mods to the server, do I have install them individualy to each user or does the server send the files over to them?

4> When Red Power and Thaumcraft get released, I know Im going to have start a new world on my single player. Would we have to start again on the server or is there a way to regen the server without losing anything.

Hope you understand my questions and thanks in advance for any help.

1) It will work ok, the biggest issue will probably be the harddrive seek time but you should't see many problems with 5 people.
2) Install the client.
3) You have to install them if you add them manually I believe. (Not sure on this one)
4) You don't need to start a new world unless you want all areas to have the new materials/changes. Otherwise any newly spawned chunks will contain what you add.
