Mac non of the modpacks are working

when ever i try to open up any of the mod packs the hello window opens when it is done everything just closes.
My system is a 64-bit mac os x version 10.7.5, 4gb of ram.

That sounds about right i am currently trying to find a download for java 6 that will work with my operating system.
