There are no BC conductive pipes in any of the 1.6.4 modpacks I have tried, which would be all of them. Is this a bug or something or have they changed the way it works? I have looked a bunch to see if they got removed, but I dont think so. Or am I a tard?

They're called Kinesis pipes now.

I tried running a quarry off them, wooden to golden off of electric enigines, but nothing worked. If there a guide or something, link it and ill be on my merry way :)
Unfortunately I'm no help on that. I personally use Thermal Expansion RF's ability to convert to MJ when connected via Energy Conduits when I need MJ these days. IC2 is the last thing I'm touching in 1.6.4.

I've also moved the thread to Mod Discussion as this is a discussion of mechanics rather than a tech support issue at this point.

Basically it's everything you may have been doing with Thermal Expansion before, generated via Thermal Expansion's Dynamos (the new engine type for TE). You can transmit RF via Tesseracts (which are now all-in-one per Tesseract: RF Energy, Items, and Liquids) or store the energy in the Energy Cells (like before, but with a few tiers of RF energy storage) and use those, but you need to connect to the machines with TE energy conduit to turn RF into MJ.

Several things already take RF natively as well, including MFR machines. The MFR BioFuel Generator will also output either MJ or RF (the ratio is 1MJ:10RF).

Quick example of how a Tesseract can handle a quarry now:

Touching lets it handle item transport (which goes back into my small AE system), the conduit connection is necessary to turn RF (which is produced by a battery of magmatic dynamos back at base and transmitted via the Tesseract)->MJ.

Also, if you're into steam boilers, you can use TE Steam Dynamos directly with boilers. They'll produce just like the Industrial Steam Engines in terms of throughput.

Hmmm, did they change the ejection mechanics of the quarry? I thought the "receiving inventory" always had to be on top of it. Either way, rotating that setup 90* camera-wise would achieve the same effect.

It's never required an "on top" connection, the top is just where things eject if no valid connected inventory is present. =)

TIL. Thanks. :)

Guess it was an outdated belief that came from the BC pipe era where your pipes had to be on top or stuff would go spraying everywhere.

Yeah, it's always fun going through all the stuff that's been juggled in some of the long-standing mods, particularly stuff going back into the 1.2.x and earlier era. =)
