Solved New Server Doesn't Accept Guests

Hi, I have just made a brand new local host server on Dark Trilogy v1.1.1 and is running on my windows 7 laptop with no mods added to it, but for some reason, only I, as a host, was able to enter it, as for my friend, he would get a simple "Host is down" error while the server is still running at my end, so I wish for a solution.

Unless your friend is in your home you will need to port forward the server.
if you did that make sure your friend uses the right ip address.

I have port forwarded the server and have given him my internal IP address

if he is not on the same network you need to give him your external ip address just google "what is my ip" without the quotes and you get the correct one.

So should I port forward on my external or internal IP address

You should give your friend the external ip address and port-forward the internal ip address

You need to port forward TCP and UDP ports for him to be able to join.
