The current FTB launcher is incapable of supporting 1.6 packs. Once it gets updated, I'm almost certain that one of the new official FTB packs will have all those mods and likely more.

Best bet is probably Resonant Rise from the ATLauncher. It's made by a respected forumer around here and has most if not all the mods in FTB Unleashed, but updated (TC4, IC2 Experimental, etc.).

RR is decent. But it does not have all the mods that FTB does but it also has many the FTB does not. Its a different sort of play style. Mostly focusing away form GT type tech and mixing in a heavy dose of magic mods. Its a sort of Alt tech plus magic mod pack. Still if your looking for something that has TC4 and other 1.6.4 mods already in it there you go.

Yes you can make your own pack. Vanilla launcher is easy to use too. Just run the Forge installer, and pop the mods into the /mods folder. Of course, you might need to do some ID changing.

I added Gregtech to ResonantRise, and ya, it definitely has a heavier magic feel. Plus all the additional ores (Metallurgy), and a few other additions that have been a bit of a learning experience. Minegicka is a bit to learn, and I still haven't figured out what mod drops the additional EXP like orbs.

Edit: Oh and I added Mystcraft which just came out for 1.6.4, so that's made it feel more FTB like.

About the ATlauncher i see all the mods that I want.. but how is the compatibility between them. Does it crashes often? Cause on FTB direwolf 1.5 2 just crashed and I lost my world.

The ATlauncher by it self does little for mod comatibility you want to find a pack that has everything you want that also has good user base. Much like FTB compatibility is something the pack makers have to get right with configs. ATL is just a really nice way to deliver that to you while making the mod makers happy as it does not autodownload directly unless the mod is ok with that. Instead it takes you directly to the mod download page (so the maker gets his adfly or what have you) and tells you to save it on a location ATL can use. Its actually a really nice way to make everyone happy and make it fairly easy for end users.

But it does not automaticaly fix compatibity issues that still is in the hands of who ever makes the pack in question. Most are stable though.

Thank you Saice and all.
Last question. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? wait for ftb 1.6.2 with dire's pack or download ATL and manually DL every new pack.

Neither. I made my own pack, fixed all the conflicts, and I'm going through iterations of tweaking the configs until it's where I want it. Mods may or may not be added or dropped.

Well, Saice is currently playing on the Resonant Rise mod pack...

I'm currently in development of the next version of my mod pack as well. It's... not nearly as feature-full as RR is by any means, but it is a tightly interconnected minimalist mod pack, suitable for those either getting started with modded minecraft or those who just don't care to have a bunch of mods that you'll never use.

I make my own packs. I won't be playing 1.6 modpacks until Magic world 2 and Tech world 2 are in testing. I'm fine with using outdated versions of MC, as long as it isn't laggy, and doesn't suck.

A pack with only those mods would not logically have any conflicts. I have a 1.6 pack with around 30 mods and had 0 conflicts, so that should be fine. And changing configs isn't a bit of work, unless you want an insane pack like UHS2.

You can either use the Vanilla Launcher or the AT Launcher. You don't even need a pack in the AT Launcher. It has a Vanilla instance that can be downloaded where you can add your own mods.
What I did is, copying the configs from Resonant Rise (AT Launcher) and only adding the mods I wanted. Bye copying the configs you save yourself much time you would need to fix ID conflicts.

So sorry to ask but what is that ID that you talk about.

Each item and block has its own ID. If two mods add an item/a block with the same ID the game crashes (or one of the two is not acquiarable ingame.
If you make your own modpack you have to solve those conflicts yourself by editing the config files of conflicting mods. With a larger number of mods this can get very annoying.
Thus I recommend copying Resonant Rise's config files since they include so many mods already.
