Hello Guys,

I have been running a Tekkit Classic server for a few months now. We average about 15-30 people on at any given time. Me and the other owner want to switch to a FTB server because of all its benefits over Tekkit and the MC 1.4.7. However there are few Mods we do not want enabled, so I have been trying to build a custom Mod pack based off of FTB, but cannot get it to work. I can run a server and plugins just fine, but am very new to trying to build my own modpack. I believe that I am incorrectly making the .jar file; but honestly have no idea. We have a dedicated 24/7 server that I would love to get going and advertise on here. If anyone is able or willing to help, I will give full credit to the individual. And more than likely, if they are interested, a nice position within the server.

Thank you guys for any help.

-Shish

-Or if you know a way to disable the mods on the server that will work as well. I cant seem to find a straight answer guide anywhere.

Disabling mods on a server is simple, you just delete the mod file from the /mods folder.

There are also a ton of config files in the /config folder which you can tailor to suit your needs.

Awesome. That will work even if the players loaders try to load the mods? Not sure about how that works, do the players have to disable the mods also?

No, the server only checks if a mod is missing from the client, the client however can have 100 mods, aslong as it has the ones that the server has, they can connect.
