I am running an FTB Server I just started it yesterday.

Right now it is not on the computer that I plan to put it on in the future.

The current specs are

4GB (the server has 3 GB allocated to it) of Ram

64 bit Windows 7

Intel Core i3 2310 2.1GHZ proc

If the server seems to be fun and goes well I will purchase a computer with 8 or 16 GB of ram, and a faster processor to continue hosting the server on.

I don't plan to have more than 20-30 people on the server but who knows what will happen. We will eventually do whitelisting etc.

Anyway shoot me a message or reply here for more info, or with your experience/details.

Thank you.

I am not applying or anything but one thing I would recommend that you do is check your internet speed as well because if your upload speed is less than 2Mbps (megabits) , it is likely for them to have connection issues. Just my two cents.

I'm running an ftb server with mo creatures and with 5 people online it can use up to 4gb's of ram(quad channel) and the server also lags out with 10 people online due to only having 2mbps upload speed. You will need more ram. Also, Notch and Jeb are absolutely retarded when it comes to optimization. If they understood that the world moved past single-core processors nearly 10 years ago, nearly everyone would be able to run a server.. Your server will only ever use 1 core, unless you can get the buggy monster known as tickthreading to work with the 70 or so mods ftb has. Basically 2.1GHz is unlikely to be adequate.
My specs:
I7-3930k
32Gb 1600MHz quad channel ram
256Gb agility 3 ssd
5TB HDD
GTX 680 4Gb
1050W PSU

I wish you luck on starting up your server!

I ended up going with a Pytohost 5 GB hosted server instead. But I am planning on going into dedicated hosting somewhere probably with SSD
