Need help getting rednet cable to work with AE busses

In Direwolf modpack I set up a nice MFR auto-spawner with a selector panel for which safari-net-mob to send into the machine. It used rednet cable pointed at AE basic export busses, which were in turn pointed at hoppers, which connected to the auto-spawner with Itemducts.

Long story short, in Monster, when I place the rednet cable, it doesn't "connect" with the AE busses. The rednet cable remains in "cable only" mode even when I wrench it to change the mode to "connect to anything". It is connecting to the itemducts just fine, but not the AE stuff? What changed, and how do I correct this problem for me? Thanks.
 
Nevermind, I figured it out, I'm a dummy. Basic export busses aren't controllable by redstone signals, I have to use precision export busses instead. DOH!

Hey, it's big news to me, I didn't know. Unfortunately it appears to be for 1.7.2, but certainly something to look forward to. I love AE. :)
