Trying to build a piston door to protect the base of the nuclear reactor. I'm use to the Greg-tech one but not in the Monster My other admin does not want it in. Can anyone tell me how to set up a player detector so it only opens for me?

Also if I added greg-tech would it mess up my server.

I think MFFS can be configured in such a way as to only allow you to walk through the force field.

Thaumcraft Arcane Door. Will only open for the player that places it. Or alternatively you can make a key and anyone with the key can open it.

If not, I'm pretty sure you can use computercraft to run a player check before opening a door.

i was hoping to avoid the MFFS. I was trying to go for realistic door but that would certainly help keep other player back. But would like this door to help contain the blast if it ever went off. I dont know how much power the MFFS would need to keep in a Tier 5 reactor that i would try to automate to run 24hrs a day.[DOUBLEPOST=1398017761][/DOUBLEPOST]

Im sure computercraft stuff could be hacked or be broken and im not good with programming.

I've heard mixed reports about MFFS power usage. Some say it takes a bunch of power, but I just heard Wednesday that a massive (as in, minimum of 64 radius) sphere only pulled about 5k RF/t, which is nothing with a Big Reactor running. Plus, if you only use it for a door, a small amount of power drawn from the reactor cycles should keep it going. It should also contain quite a bit of any possible explosions, if not all that is directed towards it.
