Nano + Feather Fall IV (FTB Ulimate)

Pretty simple question, but there are so many answers out there, I just dont know if it pertains to MY version... I am using FTB Ulimate (MC1.4.7).

I have a book of feather fall IV and some nano boots (and an anvil of course). I am playing on a hardcore server so I don't want to just jump off a cliff and test the boots.

How much fall damage do the boots offer by themselves? Does the book amplify this or do anything at all?

I apologize if this has been asked a million times before, I just needed to clarify that the answer relates to MY version!

The nano boots will (if you have the power) absorb the fall completely. If they are fully charged you can fall from sky to bedrock at least once.

EDIT: I was able to anyway, of course yours may differ so... just test with a smaller fall

Well so far a fall of about 30blocks hasn't hurt me yet... Little by little... Lol

no armor, a fall will kill after 24 blocks.
with nanoboots (1 and a half armor points) you only take one heart from that fall. boots use 13600 EU.
52 block fall deals 3 hearts. boots use 32800.
70 does 5. boots use 44800.
its gonna take about 150 block fall to kill you from the boots running out. havent tested this, but power use and damage is linear.
the boots will run out of energy before the damage gets past the powered armor value.

feather falling doesnt change this im afraid.
