Mystcraft...

So, for the first time, I'm discovering the wonder that is Mystcraft! It's an absolute blast! I've visited over 30+ ages and am really enjoying the whole discovery aspect of this mod.

I'm curious though, I've yet to find "dense ores" or "crystals". Are these discoveries random or do you eventually find them after x amount of random age visits?

Random and rare. And once you get a link modifier, you will find yourself dedicating a few inventory slots to link books in parts of your world for instant travel

You can even use them to jump around the same dimension. In my overworld, I have 3 I use all the time- my base, my old base and my quarry!
