[Mystcraft] Need help.

Is there an updated guide or tutorial that a new player to the mod can go read on? A lot of the guides and tutorials out there are pretty confusing for my brain.

I agree, save for the OP qualifying the request with how confusing the guides can be. Xcomp's own explanations on his own site are ridiculously confusing.

That's fair, Though I wouldn't exactly consider Mystcraft to be an all together confusing mod to begin with.
At the very least least I'd say it looks more confusing than it really is.

My advice, just try bits and pieces of the mod out at once, or follow a guide along step-by-step
The sections of the mod aren't that hard, but it's the fact that you have to basically learn it all, all at once.

And if you decide to just dive in without a guide... do not go into any age without two link books home and one book stand. First thing in the age if you decide to stay in the age for a bit... put the stand and linkbook down at the spawn incase you die, and keep the other one on you incase you're out and want to get home.

Thanks for the link. For some reason, I thought those were outdated. I kind of forgot Mystcraft is a mod on it's own and doesn't belong to FTB. My prior knowledge of it was only the FTB Ultimate version of it.
