I'm playing on the unleashed 1.1.7 pack on a server. the descriptive book and book binder is banned but we are aloud to create age portals with linking books and i'm confused. So, I discovered a Dense ore page and I've been told its extremely good, How do i link the dense ore page into a linking book and then activate the portal? I know how to create the crystal portal and that i need a book rectangle but that's about it, Any suggestions of what i can do?

As far as I'm aware, without a book binder and inkwell (to make the link page), it's impossible to make use of any pages you find. And this of course would be for making a descriptive book, which you also claim is banned on your server. Pages by themselves are useless unless bound into a descriptive book.

You will need to create a descriptive book(which creates a world) in order to use the page. The dense ore page increases frequency of ores in the world, but will always result in an unstable world with several severe bad stuff and the world will eventually degrade and become uninhabitable. It's a seriously OP(almost gamebreaking) page IMO, since with proper tools and using the page multiple times, you can mine all the ore you will ever need in 20mins before the world is gone.
Its a wise decision to ban making mystcraft worlds on a server, since if everyone did it you soon end up with problems. Specially if people are new to Mystcraft since that usually leads to loads of unused/useless ages filling up the save. I would talk to the admin of the server if you want a specific world. Just dont bother with the Dense ore page on a server.
Linking books do not create worlds, they link between already created worlds.
