Fill your battery up to the brim so that excess energy will go to the jetpack.

Upgrade to the advanced jetpack. It has larger energy storage.
It still soaks from the jetpack, such as my night vision on the power helmet...

I can't figure it out :(

e/ it even takes eu from my mining laser...

MPS items pull out power from other electric, or MPS items.
I don't think there is a way to prevent this.

There isn't, and I, personally, class it as a bug. Thing like the standard jetpack, nano armour and quantum armour are designed NOT to act as batteries, but MPS ignores this. Personally, I would prefer it use energy only from things that are supposed to give it up (Batpack + subsidiaries, advanced nano, advanced jetpack, gravisuit).

Machinemuse has a MPS support thread on the mod discussion subforum, maybe bring it up with her?

Seems like I got it to work, well not to work but a solution at least.
I charged my helmet with eu instead of the power glove, now it's not draining from my standard EU items anymore. :)

EU and MPS energy are entirely interchangeable. It means that MPS equipment can charge EU tools & armour. Conversely, it means an EU tool/armour will charge MPS stuff. This is intended.

Funnily enough, I keep noticing that whenever I make an energy/lapotron crystal, the kinetic generator on my MPS legs will begin charging them in my inventory.
