Windows .exe My ftb crashes when connecting to servers

ever since the new launcher update my ftb either crashes on startup or if it works and i get to the main menu it crashes when ever i try and join my server the pack is FTB ultimate please help i tried updating java

Have you tried redownloading the launcher or modpack?

but it was fine before the launcher update
