Is it possible to connect multiple sorting machines to one chest and have the all suck out different things im trying and only one machine is sucking out they all have set things to pull out and have plenty of power any suggestions how to make this work?

Well given they have power and things to sort, it can only be a simple problem:
-no where to go in the network, not facing the right way, painted tubes that don't match any colors in the sorting machine.
If all that fails put a chest directly behind it to see if it actually is working, if it is, something is screwed up further down the line of the tube network

Is it possible they are trying to suck out the same item at the same time? Only one machine should be set to have an 'everything else' color or they will, I think, try and suck the same thing and only one will get it each time. Just a theory. I could be wrong, because I have several machines pulling on the same timer on an enderchest and it seems to not have the issue.
