I love golems from TC but strongly dislike almost everything else from that mod. Turtles are a little to soul-less and high tech. I want a small army of creatures to command and help me around my base. Any mods do this?

Why would you dislike thaumcraft 3? Yes, it is unfinished, but it is being developed by a very able mod maker.

The research system does not resonant with me at all. Also I am not big on Hermetic themes in general. My big issue is that aura nodes seem to really slow down my computer.
Looks interesting. Know of anything less techy? I know I am being very finicky on that request by denying TC3.
