Mods for modpacks?

Are there any mods that exist solely for the purpose of helping modpacks become more configurable or providing a way to credit mod authors within the game?

This seems like an interesting topic to discuss as mods made specifically for modpack maintainers can be useful in a number of ways.

There is a thread filled with useful mods for modpacks here. And OpenBlocks adds a piggy bank, that when you put an item in, it shows you where and how to donate to the creator.
