Greetings,
I’m sort of new to the Minecraft world and got into FTB Beta A before the recent updates. I recently started a DW20 Server through Creeper host and am wondering how much of a pain would be to add Twilight Forest Mod to said server. Also, I would like to know how much of an effect it would take on the client side players. I am a n00b and any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I don't use creeper host, but all you really need to do is go into the file system and upload the jar file for the mod to the mods folder and restart the server. The client side would just hit 'edit mod pack' in the launcher and add the jar file there. Just have to make sure they use the same version that's on the server.

So in other words i would have to make sure I manually maintain an updated version (or whatever version is on the laucher) of that mod on the server. Thanks for the prompt response.

Yes, just link to the mod in the server topic and point out what version the server is using. If someone tries to join with the wrong version FML will let them know, so it's fairly noob friendly. Make sure you make it obvious in the topic or you will get a lot of people complaining they can't join.

You may want to test it on a local server to see if there are any block id conflicts. If there are the client will also need the modified configuration files.

I doubt there's ID conflicts. If there is thought it does complicate things.

I see. How would i know if there are any conflicts? I actually took the twilight forest mod and config file from the MindCrack Pack and put it on a local DW20 Test server, I then added those to the client side (and launcher to enable and disable easily). So far I haven't received any errors and i went to the twilight and back with no crashes. Does that mean its good to go? Sorry for my n00bness.

Also, I was using the creeperhost CP and found an area for scheduled tasks, it says "CronJobs" and gives like only one example of a command. Does anybody know of a list of common commands? Thanks in advance.

The game wouldn't start if there was ID conflicts, so you're fine. For the cron jobs, The only common command I would know is saving the world.
