Solved Missing blocks and unable to place new ones

Ok, i am using multiplay server hosting, i am running FTB Beta pack A for 1.4.2 and my server has 600MB of ram and 10 person limit.
Here is the problem, after a few restarts today i get onto the server only to find that some of the blocks in the forestry mod are missing. of the notable ones so far i have the Mailbox, stamp collector, stained glass and that's all i have noticed (i would test further but now my girlfriend and i are having launcher issues.). now when i say gone i mean that all the placed blocks of those types were gone. when going into creative and trying to place down said problem blocks, they disappear. on top of that they also disappear from inventory. if anyone has any ides i'd take any advice.

sounds like a forestry problem, not sure whats causeing it. Can you post some logs to pastebin and link them?

well, i would if could. i checked the server logs and there is NOTHING of any use. the only logs are the start stop logs for the server. it looks like this

no crash logs or anything that might indicate whats wrong with forestry. funny enough i was able to check some of the other blocks briefly and the machines (like the thermonic fabricator and trade station) are still working fine. it seems to only be a problem with the stamp collector, mailbox, and stained glass. I completely understand if you can't help due to my lack of logs but thank you for replying.

Double Edit: Ok so i got on the server and tried giving myself some items from forestry. it now tells me that none of the forestry items exist. specifically it returns no such item when trying to give myself one of it.

Do the other users who connect to the server have the same problem? So they don't see those blocks neither and can't replace them? If so then your world might be corrupt. If not there might be a problem with your client.

I do know there was a setting in forestry for bees and tree breeding not sure if it has effect on this. If you download the world and load it into a singleplayer does it then work?

I will try downloading the world later tonight however my girlfriend lives with me and plays on the server and is experiencing the same problem. i've watched her do it so i know its not just a pebkac error. if the world is corrupted i'll try rolling back a backup and see if that fixes the problem.

Update: i loaded a backup (from before the problem started) and the entire forestry mod is still bugged. hope this info helps.

Ok downloaded the world file and guess what, everything is working in single player which leads me to believe that forestry isn't loading correctly on my server. all the items are where they are supposed to be again and i can pick them up and place them no problem.

Make sure the forestry jar on your server isn't modified - it disables some items if it is modified.

i managed to fix it. don't know what got changed but i basically reset all the config files to basic, changed the whitelist and greg-tech ones back and whatever was screwed up in the configs is now fixed. the machines are working correctly. thanks everyone for the help.
