Minimum RAM for a dedicated server

I'm looking at renting a dedicated server for at the most 5 people. I'm wondering what the minimum amount of RAM to run such a server at a good level would be, and also if anyone has any suggestions of hosting companies to look at.

Does anyone have any experience with Creeperhost?

1gb ram should be enough for 5 people on a FTB server, i have never tried creeperhost, but from what i have read on the forum, everyone seem to be happy with what they provide.
