I just started playing feed the beast for mac and the sound when I pick up an item off the ground is very faint and sound very odd. Same goes with the exp orbs. When I get exp, the orbs have a little echo and just don't sound right. Same with mining stone. Ive tried many times to delete my feed the beast completely and re install it, but nothing seems to work. Please help me D:

Have you tried updating/reinstalling Java? I would say try updating the drivers, but I'm not sure how old your Mac is or if you have an external sound card on your Mac. If you have an external video card you can try the drivers for it.

I have a Macbook Pro 13" Retina display 8GB Ram. I bought it August 2013. I dont think it is an issue with the drivers because on normal minecraft, it works fine. Also with ftb Direwolf, it also works fine. The only 2 ive tried that the sound was having issues with was ftb unleashed and unlimited.[DOUBLEPOST=1390694656][/DOUBLEPOST]Ill try updating my drivers though.

By Direwolf do you mean the 1.6.4 pack or the 1.5.2 pack? If you mean the 1.6.4 pack it might be the lwjgl that was updated to 2.9.0 Vanilla also runs lwjgl 2.9.0 Try updating that in the pack folder. Look here for the guide to do that. Substitute the '~/Library/Application Support/minecraft' folder for the '/Unleashed/minecraft'

It is Direwolf 1.6.4 and I was wondering if you could rephrase what you just said in other words. I couldn't really get that :/

Before 1.6.4 the packs were using light-weight-java-gaming-library, lwjgl, version 2.4.2. This unfortunately had problems on a Mac when the user tried to use Java 7 and the packs. The fix was to either use Java 6 or update the lwjgl to 2.9.0 in the pack folders. It was always recommended to update rather than use Java 6, but a lot of users had easier time using Java 6 than updating. Either due to laziness or lack of computer experience. Now that the 1.6.4 packs are out it is recommended to use Java 7 no matter what and update the pre 1.6.4 packs lwjgl in the mod pack folder to 2.9.0 instead of using Java 6 That way you do not have any errors while using the 1.6.4 packs. Hope that made sense.
