So we dont get a crash log coz the server just hangs
here is the console output before we have to force close java

Removing Advanced Machines did not fix the issue, nor did rolling back all ic2 as it caused other mods that piped into etc to causes crashes.
are we fubared? or do you think this is recoverable

Sever - Linux Debian Custom Kernal 16gig of ram Xeon E3
FTB - Mindcrack v8 Map has been around since v5
Dedicated full server not a vps

We have one the Advanced Machines thing, upgrading Ic2 is not an option

We have machines from several different mods running and after the patch, all of them are working fine. I can't guarantee the results of what you'll get, but here's what we did to fix the problem.

Back up your world, first.

go here: http://ic2api.player.to:8080/job/IC2_lf/212/

d/l this file: industrialcraft-2_1.115.212-lf.jar

we renamed this file to "ic2.jar". Travel to: .../Mindcrack (or whatever you've named your game folder)/Mindcrack/minecraft/mods/...remove the old ic2.jar mod (you may want to hang on to it somewhere just in case). Place the new ic2.jar file in there. On your server, go to ...minecraft/mods/ and replace the old ic2.jar with the new one.

Restart server, then restart clients. If it doesn't work, remove the new files, replace with the old, load your backup save and you should be a-ok.

Updating ic2 is not an option this is a public server and needs to be able to be used as a plug and play out of the box situation

Because updating a mod should not be a fix for a modpack that is made live, there must be a more useable fix

There is no other fix atm, this is a known bug which will be fixed when the ic2 version inside the modpack gets updated with a new modpack. When that will be is unknown atm.

Those warnings are common and are probably not the reason your server is locking up. It's whatever is supposed to happen after that that is the problem.
