Hey Everyone.

I'm the Minecraft Admin for my clan, and we recently made the decision to move over to a Feed The Beast server. But we are having a constant issue of players randomly losing connection with the reasons of either 'End Of Stream' or Internal exception: java.net.Socket.Exception: Software caused connection abort: recv failed. Sometimes the users can play for 30 mins, some times 30 seconds and its a server wide issue.

The clients in question don't crash, they just lose connection and I cant find an error in the logs.

The server is hosted with 3.5 GB of RAM on a Dedicated Server.

Anyone else having these issues, or does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it??

Thanks

I have something similar happening to me, however i run the server on my personal PC and i connect to it directly from the PC i run the server on. I use 4 gigs of ram and myself and my friends find that we get the same issue. Its not apparently until you just suddenly cannot talk, as we are a chatty bunch. Eventually we cannot send messages however its very odd, as i am the server i can continue to play around with it. The player is unable to make any changes to the world VIA blocks or placing blocks or talking... but they still see everyhting in real time, including chat messages and mobs moving and after about 1-2 min they will get End of Stream on DC.

Is this similar to what happens to your players? Its almost like they're stuck in a spectator mode that they are unable to do anything and only observe.... i suppose without one of htem looking at the server window it would almost appear as if they just got DC'd and when they come back "all their work they did for the past min or two is gone"... Especially since they can still recieve chats and such...

Anyways, if anyone knows whats up with this? i would love a reply as well.
