Hello everyone,

I'm having quite a problem which disables me from playing mindcrack.
I have played mindcrack for about 2 weeks and it had worked perfectly fine until yesterday.
Upon entering the nether my game began to lag and crash. After restarting and relogging onto the server i play on i encountered the same issue, more tries just resulted in the same.

Today i got it again, but the second time i logged in i was able to kill myself. I was back in the overworld and everything was fine again. After a while i needed to go to the nether again and i prayed it wouldn't crash. It didn't. For a while i was in the nether, until my game was being laggy and i relogged. I crashed again and again and again.

Now after trying it even more it has progressed to a level where at i launch the FTB Launcher and it already crashes. So basically i can't even start the Launcher anymore. I redownloaded all of FTB with no luck.

This is the error log i got:
http://pastebin.com/DFgRQYkH

Thanks for your time.

To further clarify, Java 7 is now the standard version of Java. You should only use Java 6 if you have compatibility problems using Java 7.

Some mods are now being compiled against Java 7 which means they won't behave correctly in Java 6. Apparently a mod in the pack has made the switch and is crashing you. You will now need to upgrade Java. :)

To start: use Java 7

I just restarted my pc and i could start the launcher, hurray.
I went and saw this comment, i closed the launcher and downloaded java 7. While downloading it said something was missing or went wrong, but it still succeeded.

Trying to start the launcher results in an error again.

A very common mistake is assuming that Java is polite and cleans up after itself. Sorry, I should have mentioned this before.

You will need to uninstall Java 6. In fact if you check your list of installed programs you may be unpleasantly surprised to see a lot of versions of Java lying around zombified on your computer. Uninstall all of them and there's a very good chance that this will solve your problem.

Unfortunately you will always need to uninstall old versions of Java before installing new ones, Oracle don't seem interested in making a cleaner installation process for Java. :(
