Hello, so I am new to running a server and have run into a problem while updating from 8.1 to 8.2, it is a dedicated server through a hosting company using the Multicraft control panel. Following their FAQ for updating, I backed up then deleted several folders in my server (config, coremods, mods and the old FTBserver.jar file) uploaded the new server files, with FTP, to my server and restarted. After logging in all my IC2 machines are gone, Microblocks gone, Ironchests and contents gone, Buildcraft gone, etc. So obviously I deleted something I wasn't supposed to.
1. Is there anyway I can restore these items from my backup to the new version?
2. Can anyone inform me of the proper way to update a FTB server without this happening in the future?
I'm pretty tech savy but this is my first time as Admin and I'm about to have 6 very pissed off friends calling me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
