I really like the Auto Enchanter, because I can extract my XP into tanks and just use it whenever I need to. However I noticed that it comes up with some pretty weird enchants. Four times in a row, a pickaxe at level 30 got "Efficiency IV Efficiency IV" Yeah, the same enchant twice. Also I get treecapitating on tools that aren't axes. (I use treecapitator, yeah) Even stranger is a combination of Fortune and Silk Touch. Of course, this makes the fortune enchant useless since it requires breaking the ore block. Does anyone else notice the auto enchanter coming up with some pretty weird result combinations? Like, other than what the normal enchantment table would do.

Yeah, you pretty much wanna use gold (best enchantability) to enchant and then disenchant the items into books using the auto disenchanter. Then apply the enchants you want on the items you want in the auto anvil.

Doesn't Thaumium have the same level of enchantability as gold but way more durability. You could make a enchant tool/sword and reuse it more times. Granted gold is maybe easier to come by, but even if you arent doing Thuamcraft, you get quite a few out of chests without trying. Just don't make a hoe. That will only accept Repair. Though if thats what you were going for and can sleep at night doing it, make a hoe and farm Repair books. Bit cheesy sauce though, but after pulling your hair out hoping for it, might be a way to go.

The Damage is a percentage, as such it kinda doesnt matter :) And like you said, for repair there is the thaumium hoe (or grafter).

I love the MFR auto-enchanter. Just slap some books in there and you can easily get great enchants easily. One book can have 3 or 4 different enchants that can be applied to almost any tool via anvil. It is somewhat of an exploit but I do enjoy being able to get Sharpness V and Vorpal II in one book.
